Big thanks to Josie who allowed me to check in at 8 am after driving all night. The rooms are a little dated but kept in extremely good condition. The place was spotless and the bed was so good!! Comfortable with fresh crispy linen. Nice clean bathroom too and a comfortable couch. Thanks again Josie for your hospitality.

I recently stayed at the Statesman Motor Inn and while the property itself is a little run down, the experience was completely transformed by the incredible manager, Josie. She is the only staff member running the place and yet somehow manages to keep everything going with tireless energy and genuine care. Josie went above and beyond to help with every request, making me feel welcome and looked after in a way you rarely see these days. Her dedication is truly outstanding—she works nonstop and clearly takes pride in ensuring guests have the best stay possible despite the challenges of the building itself. Honestly, if I had a hotel, motel, or any business in Corowa, Josie would be the first person I’d want on my team. She is amazing, hardworking, and the heart of this motor inn. The Statesman is lucky to have her.

Great find in an engaging town. Corowa has some interesting history and we found the Statesman to be a very comfortable base to explore the place. Our room was very clean and well appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable and warm! Thanks Josie for turning on the electric blanket prior to our arrival. Loved the ample supply of hot water in the shower too! Very happy to recommend.

A large group of us had the best service at the Statesman Motor Inn recently. Josie was an unbelievable host. Nothing was too much trouble , even driving our disabled friend to and from eating places. This is the best place to stay while exploring Corowa and Rutherglen.

We spent 3 nights here and loved the motel. Very comfortable rooms, well equipped and fantastic customer service. Cold weather so did not use the pool but there is a very nice pool and a BBQ.

We had previously booked to go to Corowa earlier in the year, however, with the spike in diesel fuel we postponed. The manager Mick was very understanding and provided a voucher to use. We extended our stay this time by 1 night. Fresh towels daily. We needed to borrow an extension cord, not a problem. Had a trailer on the back of the car we needed to leave near motel, could park inside near our room. Great walking distance to area. Rooms clean and tidy. Would recommend.
